Bank of America Clients Buy U.S. Stocks for Four Consecutive Weeks, Institutional Investors Record Largest Weekly Net Inflow Since December 2020
Bank of America clients continued to actively buy U.S. stocks last week, marking the fourth consecutive week of purchases. Institutional investors led this trend, recording the largest weekly net inflow since December 2020, and the second highest level for Bank of America since 2008. Retail investors are also continuing to buy, while hedge funds have recorded net selling for the third consecutive week. The technology, financial, and industrial sectors attracted the strongest inflows, with the industrial sector seeing record demand after months of outflows. The communication services, energy, and materials sectors performed relatively weakly.
