Bank of America Expects Fed to Cut Rates in September, October, and December
Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan expects the Federal Reserve to cut rates consecutively in September, October, and December. Moynihan pointed out that the U.S. labor market remains strong, but inflation levels need to decrease further to provide room for the Fed to adjust its monetary policy. He also mentioned that consumption trends among different income groups are converging, indicating an improvement in economic health. The Bank of America economic team has predicted that the Fed will initiate a rate-cutting cycle in the second half of the year, with the market closely watching employment data, inflation trends, and consumer spending to gauge the pace of policy adjustments. Consecutive rate cuts could lower financing costs and support the stock, bond, and risk asset markets.
