Blockstream Revamps Bitcoin Explorer Dashboard

Blockstream has revamped its Bitcoin (BTC) and Liquid Network block explorer into a dashboard-style interface. The new screen displays not only transaction hashes and address inputs but also shows network status and fee flow. The Blockstream team announced the reconstruction of blockstream.info on their official blog on August 28, 2026. The new homepage includes the elapsed time since the last block, recommended fees, mempool congestion, and a Bitcoin price chart. The explorer's homepage has shifted from a search bar focus to a network dashboard focus, allowing users to check block generation flow, transaction costs, and pending transactions before looking up transactions. A next block visualization feature has also been added, showing unconfirmed transactions by fee range. The transaction page provides information on size, virtual size, weight units, version, lock time, confirmation count, along with SegWit fee savings, privacy analysis, and estimated confirmation time. The Liquid-specific screen integrates information on circulating LBTC, high-value assets, monthly transactions, peg-in/peg-out, and proof of reserves. Blockstream stated that all pages operate on the public Blockstream Explorer API. This update is more about enhancing the existing infrastructure, as the Blockstream Explorer was launched in 2018.
