Blockworks: Approximately 250 Active Liquidity Funds Worldwide

Renowned trader Ansem asked on the X platform about the number of liquidity funds in the crypto space and their management scale. Jason Yanowitz, co-founder of Blockworks, responded that there are about 800 liquidity funds globally, with 470 on their list. At the beginning of 2022, there were 1,500 funds, with approximately 40%-50% of them not disclosing information. Currently, about 250 funds are active, but most manage relatively small scales, with some small funds managed by two founders and an asset management scale of only about $10 million. Most of the asset management scale is concentrated in a few funds.
