Bloomberg ETF Analysts Release New Book "Both Sides of the Coin" on November 10
Bloomberg Intelligence ETF analysts Eric Balchunas and James Seyffart will release their new book "Both Sides of the Coin" on November 10, focusing on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency investments. According to Pan Macmillan, the book aims to explain cryptocurrency from the perspectives of traditional financial investors and cryptocurrency market participants. It covers the rise, shock, and recovery of cryptocurrency from the collapse of FTX to the launch of the first Bitcoin spot ETF. The key theme is cryptocurrency in the era of ETFs. The authors explain the characteristics of BTC, its position within traditional portfolios, comparisons of its value storage capabilities with gold, and the changes that ETFs have brought to the approach to cryptocurrency. ETFs are funds traded on exchanges like stocks, and Bitcoin spot ETFs are designed to track the price movements of BTC. In the cryptocurrency market, ETFs signify a shift in investor approaches, lowering the barriers for traditional financial investors to consider cryptocurrency. Balchunas has been responsible for ETF and passive investment research, while Seyffart works as an analyst focusing on cryptocurrencies, commodities, and thematic ETFs. "Both Sides of the Coin" serves as a commentary illuminating the dual aspects of cryptocurrency, centering on the institutional investment channel of ETFs rather than price forecasts or specific coin recommendations.
