Circle to Host Current Seoul Event on July 23

Circle will organize an invitation-only industry event, Current Seoul, on July 23 at Josun Palace, focusing on partnerships with banks, crypto exchanges, and payment firms. The event, themed "Korea at a Crypto Inflection," aims to gather senior executives to discuss regulation, industry cooperation, and long-term partnerships. This follows Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire's April visit to South Korea, where he met with executives from major banks and exchanges to explore collaborations. Key speakers include Circle executives and representatives from Kakao Pay and Bae, Kim & Lee. Circle is expanding its presence in South Korea, viewing it as a highly attractive market due to its advanced technology and active digital asset participation. The event comes shortly after Circle received approval to establish Circle National Trust, a federally supervised national trust bank in the U.S., which will initially provide digital asset custody services. Circle has also strengthened USDC banking partnerships, including a new service with Standard Chartered and support from BNY for USDC on its custody platform.
