eCash Update Threatens Bitcoin Holders
Bitcoin holders have been threatened following yesterday's update and the launch of a new eCash test chain. The pECX technology was utilized in the blockchain on August 23, despite concerns regarding the software's security and transactions. The eCash fork plans to create a separate ECX asset for BTC holders, with a 1:1 distribution to BTC at the launch of the Mainnet, scheduled for around October 31. Yesterday's tests did not cause any issues with deposits or withdrawals on trading platforms, suggesting that the update is proceeding smoothly. Despite the controversy, the test fork had a minimal impact on Bitcoin holders, and its main goal was to test the technology by miners and exchanges. Developers must assure platform operators of the reliability of the new technology before the planned implementation of eCash.
