Expected Salary Increased by 10.5% in the First Half, but Fell Below Inflation of 16.8%
The expected salary of Argentine workers increased in June, but in the first half, salary expectations lagged behind inflation. According to the Labor Market Index from Bumeran, the requested salaries rose by 10.5% between January and June, while inflation was at 16.8%, resulting in a gap of 6.3 percentage points. In June, the average expected salary reached 1,877,862 pesos per month, with an increase of 3.99% compared to May, marking the largest monthly advance of the year.
