Fear and Greed Index Drops to 65
The cryptocurrency Fear and Greed Index fell to 65 on the 26th, but it remains in the 'Greed' zone. This represents a 9-point drop from the previous day's score of 74, indicating a slight easing of the overheated investment sentiment. According to Alternative.me, the Fear and Greed Index approaches 'Extreme Fear' as it nears 0 and 'Extreme Greed' as it approaches 100. This index serves as a reference indicator that quantifies the sentiment in the Bitcoin (BTC) and major cryptocurrency markets, incorporating factors such as volatility, market momentum, trading volume, social media reactions, Bitcoin dominance, and search trends. The current figure suggests that the short-term psychological overheating has somewhat eased, but 65 is still classified within the Greed zone. The magnitude of change in the index is also significant, as the drop from 74 to 65 indicates a weakening of psychological intensity even within the Greed zone. However, since it has not fallen into the Neutral or Fear zones, it cannot be concluded that the market's risk appetite has completely diminished. The Fear and Greed Index is updated daily.
