Fear and Greed Index Records 74, Remains in Greed Zone

By: www.tokenpost.kr|2026/08/25 00:41:07

The cryptocurrency Fear and Greed Index recorded a value of 74 on the 25th, remaining in the greed zone. This is a 1-point increase from the previous day's 73, indicating a rapid recovery from the fear zones of 41 last week and 26 last month. According to Alternative.me, the Fear and Greed Index, which translates the market sentiment of Bitcoin (BTC) and major cryptocurrencies into a single figure, reached 74. This index indicates extreme fear when close to 0 and extreme greed when close to 100. This figure reflects the position of market sentiment rather than short-term price fluctuations. Although the change compared to the previous day is not significant, the trend of the index remaining in the greed zone continues. The Fear and Greed Index is calculated based on volatility, market momentum and trading volume, social media reactions, Bitcoin market share, and search trends. Currently, the index is calculated primarily based on Bitcoin. However, just because the index indicates greed does not mean that specific assets will rise or fall; it is more appropriate to view the Fear and Greed Index as a secondary indicator that reads the emotional changes of market participants rather than price forecasts.
