Gate Technology Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the "Company"), as the European operating entity of the leading global cryptocurrency exchange Gate.io, officially announces the renaming of Gate.MT to Gate.io. This brand upgrade is an important step for the Company to deepen its presence in the European market, aiming to unify its brand image with the globally recognized brand Gate.io and enhance user awareness.
Since 2022, Gate Technology Ltd has been providing compliant services in Europe with its VFA Class 4 License obtained from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). In addition, the Company's subsidiary in Italy has completed the registration as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) with the Organismo di Autodisciplina di Click Pubblicità (OAM) in 2024. After the brand upgrade, these two entities will continue to operate under the global brand Gate.io to provide enhanced services to European users.
Gate.io is recognized as one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges with over 22 million users. This renaming is a key step for the Company to further develop in the European market. Through this adjustment, the Company aims to strengthen its market position in Europe, providing users with a more secure, compliant, and efficient cryptocurrency trading and custody service.
The Company emphasizes that this brand upgrade is not just a name change but an important initiative to enhance user experience and service quality.
