Hedge Funds Buy Up U.S. Semiconductor Stocks, Betting on End of Sell-off

Hedge funds are significantly buying U.S. semiconductor stocks, with last week's purchases being the highest in nearly three and a half years. This move comes after the largest sell-off in two weeks since June 2024. Currently, semiconductor stocks account for 10% of hedge funds' total exposure, double that of the same period last year, but still below the peak of 14% in May.
