HP and Acer Use Changxin Memory Chips in Devices Sold Outside the U.S., Seeking More Supply for Next Year

HP and Acer have begun using Changxin Memory (CXMT) chips in devices sold outside the United States and are looking to secure more supply for next year. Changxin Memory's production capacity is nearly at full capacity this year, limiting the availability for new international customers. The company's revenue in the second quarter increased more than eightfold year-on-year, accounting for 7% of the global DRAM market by revenue. Some of Changxin Memory's products are now priced comparably to those of Micron, SK Hynix, and Samsung, with certain products even priced higher.
