Hyperliquid to Launch Permissionless Deployment for Outcome Markets under HIP-4
Hyperliquid will introduce permissionless deployment for outcome markets under HIP-4 in a future upgrade, initially launching on testnet before moving to mainnet. Existing validators will vote on standardized outcome templates that deployers will use to create their own markets. Permissionless deployments are deemed crucial for the growth of outcome markets due to the extensive range of tradeable outcomes. Validators will ensure quality by voting on templates stored and enforced onchain, which will serve as the foundation for market deployments. Deployers must stake 500000 HYPE, with the stake subject to validator vote in cases of poorly defined markets or incorrect settlements. The stake will be locked for six months, and deployers must settle all outstanding markets before unstaking. Each deployer will receive an initial allocation for 100 outcomes, with settled outcomes freeing up allocation for reuse. An auction mechanism for increasing allocations is planned. Deployers can set fees up to 50% on their markets. All details are preliminary and may change based on community feedback. Hyperliquid launched HIP-4 in May, attracting around 100 million dollars in volume in its first month.
