Kaito Pulse Introduces Transaction Verification Feature Amid Privacy Controversy
Kaito AI has launched the browser extension Kaito Pulse, sparking a privacy controversy. Kaito Pulse attempts to assess social influence by reflecting X activities and on-chain transactions. Released on the 18th, Kaito Pulse features a structure that displays trading positions from external platforms, allowing for comparisons between post claims and market behavior. Kaito explained that it collects proof information rather than original data using verification technologies like zkTLS. However, an Ultra Community developer claimed that Kaito Pulse's permissions include device fingerprinting, behavioral tracking, and the potential for third-party account verification. Community reactions are mixed, with some arguing that identity verification is necessary, while others raise concerns about data exposure. Kaito's co-founder emphasized that the design follows the principle of data minimization and stated plans to improve permission displays in the next version. Kaito is set to release the Kaito Pulse code this week for external review.
