Kyiv: Generator Capacity in Educational Institutions Increased Threefold
In Kyiv's educational institutions, the number of generators has increased by 25% over the past year, from 681 to 849, and their total capacity has more than tripled, reaching 31.6 thousand kW. This will provide greater autonomy during power outages. The number of inverters has also increased by 40%, from 150 to 210. The largest increase in generator capacity is observed in the Dnipro, Darnytsia, and Desnianskyi districts, while the leaders in the number of inverters are the Solomianskyi, Darnytsia, and Dnipro districts. The Kyiv City State Administration emphasizes that enhancing energy resilience is part of the preparation for the new academic year. The number of shelter places in educational institutions has increased from 359 to 374 thousand, allowing for an additional accommodation of about 16 thousand people. Work on equipping shelters continues, with the safety of children and staff remaining a priority. As part of Kyiv's Energy Resilience Plan, 800 million UAH has been allocated for the repair of internal electrical equipment in residential buildings.
