The on-chain credit protocol Maple has released governance proposal MIP-021, aiming to introduce a regulated buyback mechanism linked to income. The proposal stipulates that if monthly income is below $1.5 million, 10% of the income will be used to buy back SYRUP; if monthly income is between $1.5 million and $2 million, 20% will be used for buybacks; and if monthly income exceeds $2 million, 30% will be used for buybacks. All buyback operations will be transparent and decided through governance voting. The proposal is currently in the feedback stage, with voting set to begin on July 13.
