Metaplanet CEO Believes AI Will Increase Bitcoin Value by Reducing Copying Costs
Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich stated that the value of Bitcoin does not stem from price trends, but rather from the way AI is changing scarcity in the economy. As AI significantly lowers the production and replication costs of products such as software, content, and analytics, future value may increasingly flow towards assets that cannot have their supply expanded through technology. Gerovich emphasized that Bitcoin's supply cap is set at 21 million coins, guaranteed by network rules, and will not increase due to improvements in production efficiency or intelligence levels. As an asset that cannot be copied or diluted, Bitcoin can settle globally 24 hours a day. In the context of AI driving an abundance of goods and services, Bitcoin's scarcity attributes will become even more pronounced.
