The National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee will review a bill that mandates the disclosure of virtual assets held by influencers during a plenary session. The bill, proposed by Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Seung-won, is set to be presented at the plenary session scheduled for 10 a.m. on the 26th. The amendment aims to require individuals who repeatedly advise or receive compensation to entice the trading of specific digital assets to disclose the compensation received and the types and quantities of digital assets they hold. Additionally, a law to prevent the BTC overpayment incident at Bithumb will also be on the agenda, with an amendment proposed by Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Hyun-jung requiring virtual asset businesses to store users' digital assets in separate addresses. Another amendment proposed by People Power Party lawmaker Lee Heon-seung will mandate businesses to periodically verify the balances of users' entrusted digital assets and establish risk management systems. Lastly, an amendment to the Specific Financial Information Act proposed by People Power Party lawmaker Kim Sung-won will abolish the one-exchange-one-bank principle. The bills will be reviewed in the plenary session before being passed to the bill subcommittee for detailed discussions.
