NVIDIA AI Chip Demand Accelerates, Customer Profitability Becomes Key
NVIDIA's demand for AI chips continues to accelerate, primarily due to downstream customers quickly achieving profitability through AI infrastructure. Renowned financial host Jim Cramer pointed out that investment returns have become a reality rather than a distant expectation. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated during the earnings call that the capital return cycle for some $50 billion data center projects has been shortened to less than a year, gradually answering the market's debate on the profitability of AI infrastructure. Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced it will purchase an additional 2 million NVIDIA GPUs between 2027 and 2028 and apply the related technology in the robotics field. Despite Amazon actively developing its own AI chips, it continues to expand its procurement of NVIDIA products. NVIDIA CFO Colette Kress mentioned that this quarter's growth is primarily driven by non-hyperscale cloud customers, including new cloud companies and enterprise clients like CoreWeave and Nebius. Currently, about 50% of NVIDIA's customers are not hyperscale cloud service providers, indicating that the demand for AI computing power is spreading to a broader enterprise market.
