OpenAI Releases ChatGPT Images 2.5 with 50% Speed Improvement
OpenAI has released ChatGPT Images 2.5, upgrading the generation speed, character rendering, and image editing experience. The new version can reduce image generation latency by up to 50%. When referencing photos, it better preserves the details of characters and pets. The image editing feature has been enhanced, allowing users to directly circle the areas for modification on the image and describe the changes, avoiding repeated text descriptions. The model is also less likely to mistakenly alter parts that were not requested during consecutive modifications. The new version supports direct sketching to control composition and adds commonly used image templates such as posters and merchandise. Images 2.5 is now available to ChatGPT, ChatGPT Work, and Codex users. Additionally, the API has launched GPT-Image-2.5 Flare and Sunburst, with Sunburst ranking first and Flare second in the latest Arena evaluations, both claiming the top two spots in text-to-image generation, single image editing, and multi-image editing rankings.
