Russia Strikes 'Aurora' Distribution Center Twice

On August 22, Russian military forces launched two strikes on the distribution center of the 'Aurora' retail chain. Following the first strike, a second attack occurred while emergency services were on site. As a result of the attacks, warehouse facilities were destroyed and rescue vehicles of the State Emergency Service were damaged. Human casualties were avoided due to safety protocols being followed by the workers. The 'Aurora' company has begun assessing the extent of the damage but continues to operate as usual. Russia has been destroying the logistics of Ukrainian retailers since August 2026. The latest attack on August 20 damaged warehouses in Boryspil, which may lead to temporary disruptions in supply, especially of fresh products. Among the affected facilities are: 'Fayni L'dy' — the main distribution center in Kyiv was completely destroyed; 'Fora' — the fresh produce facility was damaged; Yves Rocher Ukraine — the cosmetics brand facility was damaged; 'EKO Market' — logistics disruptions; and a warehouse in Boryspil where goods for the Varus chain were stored.
