Russian Army Attacks Tanzanian-Flagged Vessel, Captain Killed
On July 14, the Russian army attacked a civilian vessel flying the flag of Tanzania in the Odessa region, resulting in the death of the captain. Eleven crew members were evacuated, three of whom sustained minor injuries. A fire broke out on the ship, and efforts to extinguish it are ongoing. Since the beginning of this wave of attacks, nine people have been killed. The ministry noted that the enemy is striking with ballistic missiles and drones, deliberately targeting ports and civilian vessels. The head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper, stated that each such strike constitutes a war crime against peaceful people and global food security. On July 11, Russian troops also attacked the port infrastructure of Odessa, resulting in the deaths of two drivers and injuries to two others.
