SemiAnalysis Releases Bullish Report on SK Hynix, Supporting V-Shaped Rebound in Korean Stocks
On July 14, SemiAnalysis released a bullish report on SK Hynix, maintaining a positive outlook on the company's 2Q26 DRAM performance. The report predicts a quarter-on-quarter increase of approximately 45% in blended DRAM ASP (average selling price) and an operating profit of about 55 trillion won for RAM. Despite investor concerns over the volatility of memory stocks, the report highlights that SK Hynix and other leading memory companies still offer excellent risk-reward opportunities. Citirni analyst Jukan stated, "Korean stocks are being aggressively leveraged for buying right from the start." As of the time of publication, the KOSPI index in Korea had increased by 2%, recovering from a nearly 3% drop, achieving a V-shaped reversal. SK Hynix rose over 3%, while Samsung Electronics increased by nearly 5%. This report sharply contrasts with KIS's earlier downgrade of SK Hynix's two-year operating profit forecast, which had led to a significant drop in SK Hynix's stock price.
