Successful 13th Test Flight of SpaceX's Starship, Splashdown in the Indian Ocean

Prefer us on GoogleSpaceX's heavy-lift rocket, Starship, launched from its southern Texas launch site on the afternoon of the 24th Central Time, marking its 13th test flight. The first stage "Super Heavy" booster splashed down in the Gulf of Mexico, while the second stage "Starship" completed a suborbital flight and splashed down in the Indian Ocean. During the flight, six engines operated normally, deploying 20 next-generation Starlink satellites. The spacecraft briefly reignited one engine in space to validate the in-orbit ignition capability needed for future lunar missions. Approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes after launch, the spacecraft splashed down in the Indian Ocean northwest of Australia.
