Ukrzaliznytsia Orders 102 New Passenger Cars
Ukrzaliznytsia has signed an agreement with the Kryukov Car Building Works for the supply of a record 102 new generation passenger cars by 2026. The total amount of the deal is 1.091 billion UAH including VAT. The new contract includes 10 cars that will be delivered by the end of 2029. The new cars have a service life 20 years longer than previous models and provide greater comfort due to their width in the 'T-gauge'. They are equipped with powerful batteries and environmentally friendly electric heating, and will also include 2 cars for people with disabilities. More than 100 Ukrainian suppliers will be involved in the production. Since 2021, Ukrzaliznytsia has contracted 368 passenger cars as part of the state financing program. In May 2026, the company put 6 new cars into operation on the Kyiv — Uzhhorod route.
