U.S. Department of War Launches Grok for Government on GenAI.mil
The U.S. Department of War's CTO office has announced that the department has launched Grok for Government, a feature of its generative AI platform GenAI.mil, which utilizes Starshield AI. This version is approved for use in Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) environments at Impact Level 5 (IL5) and offers capabilities such as deep reasoning, adaptive reasoning modes, customizable workspaces, persistent projects, and reusable operational manuals, applicable in scenarios like procurement market research and supply chain management. Since its launch 9 months ago, GenAI.mil has attracted over 1.7 million unique users, accounting for more than half of the Department's over 3 million personnel. The introduction of Grok aims to expand the selection of cutting-edge AI tools, avoid vendor lock-in, and promote the development of the U.S. AI ecosystem.
