BlockBeats News, January 8th, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin published a post discussing Ethereum scalability, suggesting that increasing bandwidth is more secure than reducing latency, and that using PeerDAS and ZKPs can achieve thousands of times of scalability while maintaining decentralization, with latency being limited by factors such as the speed of light, node location, censorship resistance, and economic feasibility.

Vitalik emphasized that Ethereum should be as reliable as the "world's heartbeat," not just a high-speed game server. Applications requiring higher speed should adopt off-chain components, which is also one of the reasons why layer-two networks will continue to play a role even in a highly scalable Ethereum.
