Argentine President Javier Milei has seen a significant decline in his influence on social media. Data from the communication agency Ad Hoc shows that mentions of Milei on social media and websites dropped to approximately 3.7 million in June this year, down 72% from a peak of 12.6 million in February 2025. His post interactions on X have also decreased by 62% since taking office. Several digital allies from Milei's team have resigned or been arrested due to serious legal or corruption allegations, leading to a split among his supporters online. Meanwhile, an economic slowdown, legislative obstacles, and multiple scandals have weakened his "anti-establishment" narrative, creating greater uncertainty for his re-election prospects.
