ByteDance Integrates Doubao, Feishu, and Volcano Engine, Shifting AI Business to ToB Productivity

On August 6, ByteDance CEO Liang Rubo announced at the mid-year all-hands meeting that the company will integrate Doubao, Feishu, and Volcano Engine, focusing on ToB productivity. Liang stated that the development of AI in productivity has exceeded expectations, making ToB increasingly important. Over 90% of new customers for Feishu have simultaneously purchased Feishu AI products. He summarized ByteDance's business strategic principles as "high priority, coarse backbone, optimize long-term," and pointed out that the three core businesses are AI, information platform, and transaction services, all closely related and achieving the company's mission through computation-driven intelligence. Douyin, as the "backbone" business, drives e-commerce and life services, and in the future, Doubao will also become a "backbone."
