Changes in ARCA's Monotributo for September 2026: New Payment Schedule and Quota Scale

The Monotributo will have a new scheme of amounts for all categories of the simplified regime during September. The values that taxpayers need to consider are those that take effect from August 1, 2026, according to the update published by the Revenue and Customs Control Agency (ARCA).

Unlike other national taxes, the monthly obligation of the Monotributo maintains a general date for all registered individuals, without differences based on the last number of the CUIT. In September, the due date will be moved to Monday the 21st, as the 20th falls on a Sunday.

The monthly payment corresponding to September 2026 will be due on Monday, September 21. This date applies to all categories and all CUIT endings. The reason for the shift is that the usual due date of the 20th coincides this month with a Sunday.

The monthly amount includes the various components of the regime: integrated tax, contribution to the Argentine Integrated Pension System (SIPA), and health insurance, when applicable. The composition may change depending on the taxpayer's particular situation and the exceptions provided by ARCA.

The new values were not specifically set for September but are part of the update that took effect on August 1 and remains in force during the corresponding period. ARCA published the new scales along with income caps and other parameters that help determine the category.

The official amounts in effect since August 2026 contemplate differences between those providing services and those engaged in the sale of movable goods. The scale is as follows:

  • Category A: $49,527.18 monthly, for both services and sale of movable goods
  • Category B: $56,379.08 monthly, for both services and sale of movable goods
  • Category C: $66,020.12 for services and $64,530.58 for sale of movable goods
  • Category D: $84,612.93 for services and $82,564.81 for sale of movable goods
  • Category E: $119,811.45 for services and $108,267.51 for sale of movable goods
  • Category F: $150,784.21 for services and $129,930.65 for sale of movable goods
  • Category G: $230,312.94 for services and $158,815.05 for sale of movable goods
  • Category H: $522,706.68 for services and $317,895.01 for sale of movable goods
  • Category I: $963,747.86 for services and $474,992.78 for sale of movable goods
  • Category J: $1,167,299.76 for services and $580,793.69 for sale of movable goods
  • Category K: $1,614,446.04 for services and $702,103.24 for sale of movable goods

The difference between both activities appears starting from category C and becomes much more pronounced at higher levels. In the case of services, category K exceeds $1.6 million monthly, while for the sale of goods, the maximum amount is above $700,000.

In addition to the monthly quota, each category has an annual gross income limit that must be respected to remain within the regime. For example, category A has an annual cap of $12,009,410.45, while category K goes up to $126,610,838.75.

These parameters are relevant when reviewing the tax situation. If income, rents, or other indicators exceed the established values for a category, a recategorization may be necessary.

Monotributistas have different alternatives to settle the monthly obligation. One of them is automatic debit from a bank account, which can be joined by providing the corresponding CBU. Another option is to generate an Electronic Payment Slip (VEP) from ARCA's services. Once generated, the taxpayer can pay it through the enabled electronic channels.

There are also alternatives through home banking and virtual wallets, depending on the options available for each type of operation. Electronic payment allows the procedure to be carried out without the need to go in person to an office.

For those who prefer to automate the obligation, automatic debit can be an alternative to avoid forgetfulness and comply with the monthly calendar. Before confirming any operation, it is advisable to check that the amount corresponds to the registered category and the period to be settled.

In case of overdue quotas, the taxpayer can check their account status through ARCA's digital services and verify if there are interests or outstanding balances.
