Lumida CEO Diagnoses AI Investment Opportunities as Greater than Cryptocurrency
The CEO of Lumida stated that the investment opportunities in AI are greater than those in cryptocurrency. He noted that the possibility of interest rate hikes has been reflected in the market, and that the AI application sector and semiconductor supply chain hold greater growth potential. In an interview with CoinDesk on September 14, CEO Ram Aluwalia mentioned the Federal Open Market Committee, adjustments in AI stocks, and the U.S. midterm elections as key variables, stating that 'AI is still in its early stages.' He argued that the market has excessively priced in the possibility of interest rate hikes, and that the actual likelihood of such hikes occurring is low. He views the adjustment in AI stocks as a buying opportunity, explaining that comments from the CEO of Anthropic led to a sell-off in semiconductor stocks, but he described this as 'not a significant issue.' Aluwalia emphasized that the upside potential of AI is greater than that of cryptocurrency, noting that talent is shifting towards AI. He pointed out that while there are opportunities in cryptocurrency related to tokenization and decentralized finance, the industry has failed to demonstrate value to end users. He mentioned Nvidia, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Applied Materials, Micron, and SK Hynix as targets for AI investment, forecasting that government adoption of AI and increased spending will support the market.
