Tom Lee: Ethereum is More Like Digital Land Than Digital Cash
In an interview, Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmine, stated that Ethereum is more like "digital land" rather than digital cash. He pointed out that the core of quality assets lies in their ability to store long-term value, and investors believe they can effectively carry and manage capital. Stocks can become value-storing assets because investors buy them based on their trust in a company's long-term capital management capabilities; real estate, on the other hand, combines value storage and cash flow attributes, generating income through rentals. Within this framework, Tom Lee believes that Ethereum is closer to the stock market or land, with its long-term value primarily derived from the network itself as underlying infrastructure and settlement layer, rather than serving mainly as a medium for payments and transactions like cash.
