Ukraine to Transfer Samples of Destroyed Russian Equipment to Museums in Five Countries
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a mechanism for the free transfer of samples of destroyed Russian military equipment to foreign museums. The decision was made at the initiative of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The transferred equipment, captured or rendered inoperable during the resistance against the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, will be used exclusively as museum exhibits for thematic exhibitions. In the first phase, samples of trophy Russian T-72 tanks will be received by museum institutions in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, and the Netherlands. All equipment has completely lost its combat capabilities, has been checked for the absence of explosive items, and is safe for display. Exhibitions abroad will contribute to the international documentation of Russian war crimes and the development of cultural diplomacy. Nearly 200 foreign companies have applied for access to the database on Russian weapons. The platform TrophyLab conducts research on captured equipment for partners in the defense sector.
