XDOF is in the late negotiation stage of its Series B financing, with an expected valuation of approximately $1.2 billion. This round is led by 8VC. The company focuses on collecting real-world remote control data for training general-purpose robots, having launched less than three months ago. XDOF was co-founded in 2024 by researchers Philipp Wu and Fred Shentu from the University of California, Berkeley, and has completed a $70 million Series A financing round, with investors including Thrive Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Lux, and Spark Capital. Due to rapid business growth, with annual revenue approaching $50 million, the company has attracted interest from several venture capital firms. TechCrunch was unable to ascertain the specific amount of this financing round, and the terms of the deal have not yet been finalized and may change in the future.
