The Fabric Foundation has launched RoboPay, providing a payment framework for robots that transforms their capabilities into discoverable, callable, payable, and verifiable services. The core model is "pay-to-actuate," which means paying for actions, verifying payments, executing tasks, and returning results. This service is applicable to humanoid robots, robotic arms, mobile robots, drones, cameras, and can be triggered by web applications, marketplaces, business processes, other machines, or AI agents.
