Kyiv Allocates 800 Million UAH for Electrical Equipment Repairs in Residential Buildings
Kyiv has allocated 800 million UAH for the repair of internal electrical equipment in residential buildings as part of the Energy Resilience Plan. Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that simultaneously, DTEK is replacing external power networks and reinforcing substations at 120 facilities across the capital. The city is expanding its reserve equipment fleet with government support, including the transfer of 12 mobile boiler houses and 10 powerful generators. The number of heating support points is increasing, and a plan to assist people with limited mobility has been developed. Klitschko noted that over 2,000 homes have already implemented energy resilience measures, for which nearly 500 million UAH has been allocated. Special attention is being given to 21 key hospitals and social institutions that must operate during power outages. The city is also creating its own distributed generation, aiming to achieve a capacity of 200 MW of cogeneration by the end of the year. Currently, 57.6 MW of electricity is already being supplied to the national grid.
