NBU Issues 'Sea Baby' Coin with a Denomination of 5 Hryvnias
The National Bank of Ukraine introduced a commemorative coin titled 'Ukrainian Cotton. Sea Drone Sea Baby' with a denomination of 5 hryvnias on July 29. The mintage will be up to 75,000 pieces, with sales starting on July 30. The coin is dedicated to the surface unmanned complex Sea Baby, developed by the Security Service of Ukraine for operations in the Black Sea. The first samples of Sea Baby appeared in 2022 and can be equipped with various armaments. Sea Baby has been used for strikes on the Crimean Bridge and Russian military ships. The obverse of the coin features a trident transitioning into a sea drone, while the reverse shows the drone in the Black Sea, the logo of the Security Service of Ukraine, and the inscription Sea Baby. Key characteristics: denomination - 5 hryvnias, mintage - up to 75,000 pieces, packaging - souvenir, artist - Andriy Yermolenko, sculptor - Volodymyr Dmyenko. Sales will begin on July 30 through the NBU online store and distributing banks.
